The new and special polystyrene chaplets (foam chaplets) for aluminium castings provide support to the cores in aluminium castings. The polystyrene chaplets resist until the metal has begun to cool down and helps to keep the cores into the right position. Afterwards they disappear, leaving the casting completely homogeneous and without residues.
